The School of Music and Dance is the smallest school in a large, state-run, liberal arts institution, which means we have the best of both worlds! We are large enough to offer all the academic support and resources a student might need, as well as 30+ ensembles for group performances, but we are small enough for individual attention from our approachable, engaged professors.

How to Prepare for Your Audition
Audition requirements vary by discipline. In general, you should perform repertoire that best displays tone, technique, and overall musicianship. We strongly encourage you to audition in person, but recorded auditions and portfolio submissions are accepted. A student auditioning via recording may be admitted conditionally.
