April 28, 2014—The University of Oregon’s innovative Vanguard Concert Series has been showcasing the music of the twentieth and twenty-first century for two decades now, and 2014 will be no exception. This May, the Vanguard Concert Series will present two icons of new music, in separate events.

April 14, 2014—In 2013, the UO’s gospel program turned thirty, and to celebrate, program director Andiel Brown introduced his ensemble’s joyful noise to a whole new stage: the People’s Republic of China.

Ziyi Pan, who graduated from the UO in 2012 with a bachelor of arts in music and a minor in business, was instrumental in smoothing the way for Brown and his students to make the trip.

April 11, 2014—For the first time ever, a work by a University of Oregon dancer will be honored with inclusion in the biennial American College Dance Festival, the highest possible honor in adjudicated collegiate dance.

April 9, 2014—The University of Oregon School of Music and Dance has announced the fifth round of performers in the prestigious Emerging Artist Series (EArS). The honorees will perform in a winter showcase concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 in Beall Concert Hall on the UO campus. Admission is free.
