Paul named Eugene Symphonic Band conductor

Nov. 13, 2013—Associate Professor of Music Education Timothy A. Paul has accepted the conductor position with the Eugene Symphonic Band. Paul joins ESB for their 57th concert season and states he is proud to be part of the legacy that was founded by the late Robert Vagner, former professor of clarinet and Director of Bands at the University of Oregon.

As ESB conductor and music director, Paul selects repertoire for the concert series, conducts the ensemble’s weekly rehearsals, and is an integral part of the organization’s public school outreach. The Eugene Symphonic Band performs four concerts annually, including the traditional July 4th Celebration in historic Washburne Park.
