June 4, 2014—The School of Music and Dance will welcome home two of its own at the SOMD commencement exercises scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturdy, June 14. The school has selected Michael Harrison '83 and Karen Studd, MS '83 as recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award, the highest honor the school can bestow on its graduates.

Harrison and Studd will each speak at the SOMD commencment, addressing the assembled 2014 graduates and their families.
