Chamber Choir

The UO Chamber Choir is a highly select chamber ensemble of 18 to 24 voices. Members are mostly graduate and upper-level undergraduate students with excellent sight-reading skills and vocal ability. The Chamber Choir performs music from all periods and styles, specializing in a cappella repertoire. Chamber Choir has performed at the American Choral Directors Association's Northwest Divisional Conference, the Music Educators National Conference's Northwest Convention, and the Oregon Music Educators Association's State Conference. Auditions are held during the Week of Welcome. The UO Chamber Choir took top honors in two categories (Renaissance/Baroque and Chamber Choir) at the Tallinn International Choir Festival in Tallinn, Estonia, in April 2011.
Concert Choir

The University Concert Choir is a large performing ensemble of men's and women's voices (SATB) and is known for its eclectic programming. Each quarter, the choir performs choral literature representing diverse music styles and genres with a special emphasis on works by contemporary choral composers, folk song, multicultural and world music. In addition, the Concert Choir enjoys regular collaboration with instrumental soloists and ensembles in the School of Music and Dance. The members of the Concert Choir represent a diverse population of students from various majors and disciplines across campus. The ensemble is open to new members every quarter. No audition required.
Repertoire Singers

The Repertoire Singers is a select 18 to 30-voice ensemble which is directed each term by a graduate student in choral conducting. Their repertoire is drawn from all musical periods and styles. Repertoire Singers will be performing with the Oregon Mozart Players in December, 2010. Auditions are held at the beginning of each term.
University Singers

The University Singers is the premier large choral ensemble on campus, with a choral tradition at the University of Oregon extending from 1945. The University Singers perform choral music from all periods and styles, with concerts both on and off campus. Members are experienced singers and represent a wide variety of majors from across campus. The University Singers frequently have the opportunity to perform with instrumental ensembles such as the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum, Oregon Wind Ensemble, and the University Symphony Orchestra. Auditions are held during the Week of Welcome.
Women's Choir

The newest addition to the choral department, the University Women's Choir is a select performing ensemble of women's voices (SSAA) that specializes in advanced women's choral literature. Each quarter, the choir performs choral literature representing diverse music styles and genres with a special emphasis on new works by contemporary choral composers. The members of the Women's Choir represent a diverse population of students from various majors and disciplines across campus. The ensemble is a select ensemble of auditioned singers. Auditions are held at the beginning of each term.
