The University of Oregon choirs are open to university students from all majors. Auditions for University Singers, Repertoire Singers, and Chamber Choir will begin on Wednesday, September 19, and continue through the first three days of classes. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board outside of Room 165 (the Choral Library) in the MarAbel B. Frohnmayer Music Building.
Please have one song prepared - it can be an art song, aria, folk song, or musical theater piece. A pianist will be provided for you. (If no song is prepared, you may sing a familiar tune such as Silent Night.) You will also be asked to perform brief exercises that assess your range, aural skills, and music literacy level.
Please note that Chamber Choir and University Singers audition in the fall only, and members commit for the entire year.
Repertoire Singers will accept new members any term.
Women’s Choir and Men’s Choir do not require an audition and will except new members each term - you may sign up on Duckweb and come to the first rehearsal!
If you have any questions about the auditioned choirs (Chamber Choir, University Singers, or Repertoire Singers), please contact Sharon J. Paul at email@example.com.
For questions regarding the non-auditioned choirs (Women’s Choir and Men’s Choir), please contact Christopher S. Olin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
