The Director of Communications is responsible for all aspects of marketing and communications, and utilizes traditional media, interactive media, and social media to engage diverse audiences. Included in the portfolio of the director are marketing, public relations, media relations, and print publications for the School of Music and Dance, as well as management of the school’s digital footprint.
Aaron holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. He has previously worked as a senior editor in the UO Office of Admissions, and brings extensive experience writing for publications including Eugene Weekly and Eugene Magazine. He is the recipient of a 2009 Oregon Literary Fellowship and a 2008 Society of Professional Journalists award.
Aaron is a former actor and a sometimes lyricist, and was producer of the UO’s “Call Me a Duck” viral video.
