Andersen is a dance artist, educator, Pilates Instructor and third year MFA Candidate and Teaching Fellow at the University of Oregon. Her research and teaching is recognized by the National Dance Education Organization, American College Dance Association, North Star Ballet Company, and most recently, the Dance Science and Somatics Educators Group. She has performed with Bellingham Repertory Dance, It Must Have Been Violet Dance Productions, University of Oregon Repertory Dance Company, the Seattle Opera, Michelle Boulé, Susan Haines, Wade Madsen, and Kraig “Bopi" Patterson. In 2017, her choreography will be shown at American College Dance Association NW and in the UO Faculty Dance Concert. Prior to attending the University of Oregon, she founded the dance program at Whatcom Community College and taught at Western Washington University. Hannah received the National Dance Education Organization 2015 Graduate Student Award, and 2016 UO Teller-Singer Dean’s Fellowship for an Outstanding Dance Graduate Student with additional support from the UO Dance Research Fund.
