Dennis Linsley, Adjunct Instructor of Theory, will teach music theory in the winter and spring terms of 2012. He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in music theory from the University of Oregon. His dissertation explores the role that metaphors and models play in creating musical meaning, and focuses on our experience of musical motion as a source of expressive meaning in the music of Bach and Schubert.
