David Case joined the School Music as an adjunct instructor in 1972 teaching classical guitar lessons and beginning guitar group classes. Some of his solo and duo performances include UO Faculty Artist Series, Oregon Bach Festival, Water Music Festival in Seaview, Washington, and as a guest at Marylhurst College. He has studied with William Powell and Ralph Towner and participated in master classes with Catherine and Robert Strizich, Michael Lorimer, Harris, David Russel, George Sakellariou, and Alice Artzt. Case received his B.M. in theory and MA. in music theory from the University of Oregon. His master’s thesis, entitled Johann Sebastian Bach’s Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro BWV 998-An Interpretative Edition for Guitar was performed at Carnegie Hall.
