Richard M. Smith, 2004 Distinguished Alumnus
Richard M. Smith, BS 1983 in Music, associate professor and chair, studio/jazz guitar at USC, he is an award-winning recording artist, performer and clinician. He has earned numerous accolades for his recordings and he has performed around the world. Highlights include Town Hall, NYC; Orchestra Hall, Chicago; the Universal and Greek Amphitheatres, Los Angeles; the Montreal, Monterey, Jacksonville, JVC, Playboy, Taste of Chicago, Summerfest, World Trade Center, Madrid and San Diego Jazz Festivals. He is also the associate director of the International Musicians Academy of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
